Alma Paulson (Pålsson) and her four young children died when the RMS Titanic struck and iceberg on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean from Southampton, England to NY, NY. She is buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Short Description:
Mrs. Alma Cornelia Berglund Pålsson was on August 3, 1882 in Velinge, Sweden. Her husband preceded her to Chicago where he earned enough money to secure 3rd class passage for his wife and four children to join him. They all died in the sinking of the Titanic.
Alma Pålsson's body was recovered by the cable ship Mackay-Bennett (#206) and sent on to Halifax, Nova Scotia where she is buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery along with many other victims of the Titanic Disaster. Her granite headstone is engraved with the names of her four small children: Torburg Danira, 8 years old; Paul Folke, 6 years old, Stina Viola, 4 years old, and Costa Leonard, 2 years old.
