During the winter the Kennedy Space Center closes at 5 pm. Since, we were visiting with a tour group arranged by the cruise line, we were able to attend a special after-hours presentation at the IMAX theater.

Former Astronaut and retired Colonel Gerard (Jerry) Carr gave a short presentation about the Skylab program which was followed by a question and answer period. Colonel Carr was the commander of Skylab 4 for 83 days between November 16, 1973 and February 8, 1974.

This was followed bu a 45 minute IMAX film documenting NASA's Skylab program.

6 pm - Get on the bus for the ride back to Port Canaveral and board NCL Breakaway and our next stop at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
