Eighteen artists have been chosen by the Springfield Central Cultural District to paint and beautify electrical utility boxes in the downtown area of Springfield. One of the first utility boxes to be finished was painted by Lorraine McAlpine. The utility box has sunflowers and a single red tulip painted against a blue background. The name of the sponsor, Tower Square, appears in black block letters on the front of the top of the sidewalk side of the utility box.
