Short Description:
The Brewer Fountain is located in the southeast part of the Boston Common near Tremont Street.
Long Description:
The 25' diameter Brewer Fountain was created by Paul Lienard and cast by Val D'Osne in 1867. Located at Brewer Residence at 29 Beacon Street until 1870's, it was a gift of Gardner Brewer to the City of Boston. The bronze sculpture in the center contains the mythological figures: Galatea, Acis, Poseidon (Neptune), and Amphitrice
